Explore our Border Kei events calendar to see what events are taking place this weekend in the Border Kei region.

EAST LONDON

Friday 1st

  • Back by popular demand! Join the East London Round Table at the Hamilton Sports Club from 6:30pm till 11pm for another fantastic Steak Evening! Live entertainment and the ever-popular King of Clubs will be drawn on the night. Tickets are R120 per person. For tickets please call Ruan at 084 506 7834. Saturday 2nd

  • The Three Silos Parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at 8am. This is a 5km run, and it is you against the clock. Register with them today and enjoy a morning in the fresh air. 
  • The Cruel Summer Picnic will be taking place from 2pm till late. Tickets are R150 pre-sold and R250 at the door. Get out your calendars and make the date with arguably the best picnic the Eastern Cape has to offer. For more information check out their Facebook page.

Sunday 3rd

  • Tea in the trees, on the Chintsa west corner is now OPEN on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am till 2pm. Their art, craft and home produce market is held on the last and first Sunday of the month. Only R50 to have a stall! Look at www.teainthetrees.com  or phone Kate 072 611 2367 for more details.
  • Don't miss the last race of the TRIBAL four part triathlon series- including the famous Ultra distance! Taking place in the "Home of Triathlon"- East London- from 7am till 12pm at the Orient Beach, the TRIBAL Tri promises to be one of the best events on the South African triathlon calendar. Friday 1st

  • The Duckpond Morning Market takes place every Friday and Saturday morning. You can purchase some great goodies, including jams, pickles, second-hand books, cakes, second-hand clothes, quiches, crochet, knitting, plants and more!

Saturday 2nd

  • The Woodlands Market takes place every Saturday beneath the trees at Woodlands Cottages and Backpackers in Grahamstown Road. Here you can enjoy some arts, crafts, delicious foods and more. The market opens at 8am.
