EAST LONDON

Friday 8th

  • The St Bernard’s Hospice will be hosting a School’s Coin and Copper Drive in support of their Community Patient Care program. Pop your change in the allocated 5 litre bottles at your school between 10 April till 22 June.
  • Alec Voogt will be performing live from 2pm till 6pm at the Highgate Hotel. For more information email Hghotel@mweb.co.za.

Saturday 9th

  • The Three Silos Parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at 8am. This is a 5km run, and it is you against the clock. Register with them today and enjoy a morning in the fresh air. This weekend the Parkrun celebrate Back 2 School with a themed run for the kids going back to school this year. Dress up as a student and relive your school days while enjoying the Park run as always. For more information check out their Facebook page.
  • Award-winning jazz musician Dumza Maswana will be performing live from 7:30pm at the Guild Theatre. With Dumza’s baritone, his ability to transform emotions through music, his charisma and charm, this is one show not to be missed. Book your tickets now at Computicket to avoid disappointment.
  • The Dance Through the Ages event will be taking place from 8pm till late at the Gonubie Farmer’s Hall. Family friendly, dance to sokkie, boeremusiek, pop, line dance (got some new songs), in groups. This is not club style music with smoke etc, just good ole music and lights. There will be a break where the lucky draw prizes will be done. Entrance is R30, for more information contact Jenny at 083 948 1141.

Sunday 10th

  • Tea in the trees, on the Chintsa west corner is now OPEN on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am till 2pm.
