What’s On in Border: 31 - 02 August/September

Friday 31st

  • Skinny G Productions and The East London Surf Lifesavers Club are excited to invite you our third ‘The Shack: Night Time Good Food Market’. The kids zone will still be in full swing but for free this time with colouring activities and a soccer field set up.
  • Alec Voogt will be performing live at the Highgate Hotel from 2pm. For more information check out their Facebook page.
  • South African singer songwriters Digby and the Lullaby will take you on a journey that blurs the boundaries between reality and fiction. They will be performing from 8pm at the Legends Showcase Venue. Tickets are R120 per person ad bookings is essential. To make a booking call 043 735-1586.
  • BACKSTAGE presents Classics Of The Decades a lifelong dream and bucket list show of the long standing drummer Warren Heyns featuring the most influential songs through the decades of his life. Tickets are R140 per person and available at Computicket.

Saturday 1st

  • The Three Silos Parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at 8am. This is a 5km run, and it is you against the clock. Register with them today and enjoy a morning in the fresh air. This weekend the Parkrun celebrate Back 2 School with a themed run for the kids going back to school this year. Dress up as a student and relive your school days while enjoying the Park run as always. For more information check out their Facebook page.
  • East London Animal Welfare/Bellafides Private School is having a Fun Walk. Bring your dog (or well-behaved pig, duck or ferret) along for the walk. Dress up as an animal and stand a chance to win some PRIZES!
  • The Spring Day Bazaar will be taking place from 10am at 2 Swans. Bring the whole family out for a good old fashion day of fun. For more information check out their Facebook page.

Sunday 2nd

  • Tea in the trees, on the Chintsa west corner is now OPEN on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am till 2pm. Saturday 1st

  • The Woodlands Market takes place every Saturday beneath the trees at Woodlands Cottages and Backpackers in Grahamstown Road. Here you can enjoy some arts, crafts, delicious foods and more. The market opens at 8am.
