Fun ideas for your kids Back to School lunchbox

It’s Back to School time, and as parents you want to make sure that your child has a balanced lunch that is healthy and enjoyable.

Say goodbye to boring sandwiches and try something more creative that your kids will love.

Mini pizzas

Everybody loves pizza right? So why not include a mini pizza in your kid’s lunchbox? Quick and easy to make; mini pizzas will fit nicely into their lunchbox. Pick toppings such as tomatoes, mushrooms and other veggies that will make the pizza healthier for your kid.

From oats to blueberry, muffins are a perfect sweet or savoury snack to include in your child’s lunchbox. Not only do kids enjoy eating them, they are also filled with antioxidants which make them a delightfully healthy snack.

BLT sandwich

The BLT, better known as the Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich, is one of the more delicious sandwiches out there. The healthy aspect of the lettuce and tomato and the deliciousness of the bacon complement each other well in this sandwich.

A healthy snack bar

If you are looking to include something healthy in your kids lunchbox you can’t go wrong with a healthy snack bar. Find one in a flavour that your kid would enjoy and place it in their lunchbox. There are many options to choose from, either granola or fruit flavour, simply let your child choose.

Chicken breasts

A great health food, chicken has nutritious protein and can be added to most foods out there for your kids to enjoy. You can make a fancy chicken and veggie wrap for your kids or take the bacon from the BLT and replace it with chicken. If your child enjoys their veggies you can even make them a chicken salad for lunch instead.

Fruity yoghurt

A staple lunch food, parents have been putting yoghurts in lunchboxes for years. Grab your kids favourite flavour, preferably one with fruit slices, and place it in their lunchbox. Make sure to include a plastic spoon so that they can eat it!
