Non-surgical mini facelift now available in Port Elizabeth

BY GRAEME LUND - SEPTEMBER 19, 2017

Cheryl-Lee Moore, owner of Skin Repair in Port Elizabeth says, “A few years ago I underwent a non-surgical mini facelift in Johannesburg and I was so impressed by the treatment that I decided to undergo the necessary training to qualify as an agent.”

Cheryl, who recently moved to the Friendly City, has now opened Skin Repair, a non-surgical facelift facility.

“Skin Repair is offering you a mini face lift without the knife.  More specifically we use cosmetic needling and collagen and elastin production therapy.  This is a highly effective, safe and natural renewal and regeneration procedure,” adds Cheryl.

Each treatment takes approximately 45 minutes and treats the entire face.  Specially formulated products are also used during the needling.

“Our treatment is slightly different to other non-surgical facelifts in that we use a skin needling pen on the outer layer of the skin, the epidermis, which gently divides the cells in the deeper layer of the skin, the dermis.  The sensation feels a little like the raspy lick of a cat,” laughs Cheryl.

Before the needling takes place a numbing cream is applied and this is then followed by products specially formulated to rejuvenate the skin.   These products are then penetrated into the dermis by the needling.

Cheryl says that the ability of the skin to heal perfectly after minor damage is due to the presence of stem cells in the dermis and cells in the Stratum Basale of the epidermis, all of which can generate new tissue and repair your skin when stimulated.

A fine matrix of precise controlled channels are created through the needling over the area of the skin being treated resulting in natural skin renewal.

“Your face will look red and feel warm, which is normal, after the treatment and we advise that no washing of the treated area take place until the next day.  Sunlight is also to be avoided for the next 24 hours,” says Cheryl.

The needling stimulates collagen and elastin production and speeds up the cell division to create new skin cells.  This results in the skin immediately becoming plumper and firmer and the skin will continue to regenerate for the next two weeks.

Cheryl concludes, “This treatment has not been tested on animals and allows you to apply make-up 24 hours after treatment. It may be applied to both sexes and no chemicals are used. In fact it is so effective that Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardashian and Brad Pitt are known users of this therapy.”
